Many P2W heros are very good at gold, however if you only buy the $5 pack, it may take up to 2 years before you get the heros gold. For example if you are willing to wait 2 years, you could get both Lore Weaver and Storm Fox for $275 total in $5 packs. However if your on a budget, other heroes are better. The Big Guy $100 pack is usually the best way to unlock elite labyrinth / gifting. It will take a long time before you replace him. Having a gold hero early on will help you in colosseum, hero stages, and war. Construction speed is nice, and he provides a large amount of infantry attack which is very important. He is the cheapest to gold immediately ($276).
